Molded-plastic toddler's hair barrette in the form of two birds
Object/Artifact
A child's hair barrette (hair clip) molded in pink plastic, shown front and back. The front (first image) is figural, depicting two small birds facing one another beak-to-beak in a symmetrical, affectionate "lovebirds" pose, their bodies and outspread tails forming the elongated horizontal shape of the clip, with molded detailing for feathers, eyes, and feet. The reverse (second image) shows the functional clip mechanism: a sprung metal clasp arm (here also pink-coated or pink-toned) mounted lengthwise across the back, of the standard spring-bar barrette type that snaps closed to grip the hair. The piece is a single molded plastic body with the metal clip fitted to the back. Wear includes minor surface scuffing and small marks; the clip mechanism appears intact.
