"Fantasía" lipstick (Creyón labial), orange/coral shade

Object/Artifact

Swivel-type lipstick with a fluted (vertically ribbed) metal barrel sleeve, a black molded-plastic push-on cap, and a black molded-plastic base. Capped, the tube reads as a plain black cylinder with a bright metal seam-band at the cap/base join. Uncapped, the metal barrel — now heavily tarnished/oxidized to a dark greenish-grey over an originally bright gilt or silvered finish — rises from the black base and carries a white inner collar holding an orange-to-coral bullet, used and irregularly worn, with surface mottling/spotting.

"Creyón labial" is the Cuban term for lipstick. Fantasía was the flagship makeup line of Cuba's nationalized perfumery-cosmetics industry (creyón labial offered in 11 shades; companion lines Prisma, Realce, Alondra, Cirene), documented in Cuba Material's catalog of state-produced cosmetics. This fluted-metal-barrel casing differs from the plastic-cased Fantasía examples previously recorded (Rojo Claro; Ilusión), indicating the line — or its supplier casings — varied over time; metal fluted sleeves often signal earlier (1960s) packaging conventions.

Date: circa 1960s–1970s; tentative (metal fluted barrel suggests earlier styling than the plastic-cased examples).

Shade name undocumented (no base label). A reader comment on Cuba Material recalls a Fantasía creyón shade "Llamarada" (lit. "blaze," an orange-red) — a speculative possible match to this orange/coral bullet; do not assert without the label. Check material composition.
