A working personal object from the Havana cultural milieu of the 1980s. Armando Lucas Correa (b. 18 Oct 1959, Guantánamo; raised in Havana) studied Teatrología-Dramaturgia at the Instituto Superior de Arte, worked as a theater and dance critic, and edited the magazine Tablas; he emigrated to the US in 1991. The address book documents his personal and professional network in Cuba — including figures in theater, literature, and the arts — making it a primary-source artifact of late-1980s Havana cultural life. The Spanish-manufactured agenda used in Cuba also reflects the circulation of imported consumer goods on the island.
