Set of twelve matching square buttons, black with golden "X" motif

Object/Artifact

Twelve identical molded buttons, square with rounded corners and a low pyramidal (four-sided faceted) top rising to a central point, the whole surface finely ribbed/striated. The body is black. Across the center of each top is a raised golden "X" (a crossed-bar motif with a beaded/nubbed texture). The reverse is recessed, with a central raised boss, four radiating channels, and a small central self-shank for sewing (no thread holes through the face). One button is shown front, edge, and back.
