Belonged to Gertrudis Caraballo Gálvez

A socialist-era Czechoslovak swimsuit. Modeta originated as a national enterprise in Jihlava in 1949 and became known mainly for swimwear, which it began producing in the 1960s. The enterprise was formed by merging Jihlava knitting factories, and at the end of the 1960s a new combined knitting plant was built (operational from 1975). As synthetic/elastic materials developed, Modeta specialized in them and became the leader in swimsuit manufacture.
