Brown leather belt with buckle

Clothing/Dress/Costume

Hand‑made leather belt in mottled brown, with contrasting red leather lining/backing visible at the tongue and underside. A leather‑wrapped (braided/whipstitched edge) rectangular buckle frame with a bent‑wire prong at one end; a leather keeper loop. The strap is decorated with stitched oval medallions accented by small "X" cross‑lacing in pale leather, and runs of contrasting saddle‑stitching along the edges. The tongue end tapers to a point.

Purchased by Eida del Risco (n. de la Vega) to Carlos Téllez in 1993, right before emigrating to the United States in 1994, where she took it with her.

Carlos Tellez was producing similar items since throughout the 1980s and part of the 1970s.
