The grain (outer) face is finished black, now heavily crackled and flaking to reveal a tan leather core; the flesh (inner) face is exposed tan rough leather. The buckle is a single-prong curved (horseshoe/D-form) buckle in plated white metal (nickel/chrome), attached at the strap end by a folded leather loop; a leather keeper is present.
