Molded-plastic toddler's hair barrette (fan motif, yellow)

Object/Artifact

A small hair barrette (hair clip) for a toddler, molded in pale yellow plastic, of openwork design. The decorative front is a fan- or shell-shaped element with radiating ribs framing a pierced, lattice-like center, flanked by scrolled or leaf-like side forms; the whole is mounted on a slender plastic clip bar. Adhesive residue and small translucent/whitish deposits are visible around the central opening and at the back, likely old glue from assembly or repair. The clip is of small scale appropriate to fine toddler hair. The piece shows wear and some manufacturing/assembly irregularity consistent with a handmade or small-scale-made object rather than a factory-finished commercial product.
