Necklace

A long glass-bead rope necklace, a common mid-20th-century costume-jewelry form. The beads are glass; oval pressed-glass beads of this kind — especially the speckled "Picasso"-finish type — are characteristic of Bohemian/Czech glass production, a major Eastern-Bloc export of the period, though no mark confirms origin here. Donor recalls having bought them at Le Trianon store, in Havana.
