The upper arch bears ALFABETICEMOS in gilt on a white enamel band; within, on a red enamel ground, a stylized open book/notebook marked with a lowercase "a" and a pencil (the campaign emblem). A black enamel banner across the foot reads CONSEJO MUNICIPAL / DE EDUCACIÓN · HABANA in gilt.
