Plastic dressing comb, turquoise

Object/Artifact

A one-piece molded dressing/combination comb in turquoise plastic, with a row of coarser, wider-set teeth across roughly half its length and finer, closely set teeth across the other half, and a plain spine with slightly upswept ends. Molded into the spine is "MADE IN [illegible] … 577"; the country name is not legible, and "577" is most plausibly a mold/model number. The comb shows surface scuffing, dulling, and some whitish residue/soiling.

Maker: Not identified. The English-language "MADE IN …" mark indicates an export/import product (not Cuban-made), but the country of origin is not legible and no brand is present; "577" is read as a mold/model number rather than a maker. Producing country and enterprise undetermined.

The English "MADE IN …" export mark distinguishes this from the Cuban-made combs ("Hecho en Cuba": Kico, Cepil, the unmarked blue "10"); it is an import. However, the country name is illegible in the mark as read, so the specific origin can't be assigned.
