The cup is seamed up one side and open at the top; capacity on the order of a half-liter. No legible brand name, maker mark, or text is present in the printed design. This is a "perga" — the paraffined-paper cup used to serve beer and malta sold by the cup (a granel) and the standard cup used by vendors at Cuban carnivals.

A tall, slightly tapered (conical) disposable cup of paraffin-waxed paperboard, seamed up one side and open at the top (capacity on the order of a half-liter), now aged to a mottled cream with paraffin discoloration and staining. It is printed in two colors (terracotta/orange and blue): the word "CARNAVAL" runs vertically in blue block capitals down one side, and a cartoon shows a man — blue trousers and shoes, white shirt, orange hair — striding while holding up a foaming glass of beer, with small comic stars/squiggles around him. No brand name or maker text is visible. This is a "perga," the paraffined-paper cup used to serve beer and malta sold by the cup (a granel) at Cuban carnivals.

A white glazed porcelain dinner plate decorated with three clusters of red poppies and yellow-black foliage arranged at intervals around the rim. The reverse bears a circular maker’s mark reading “Made in Bulgaria / Porzellan” with a logo and the numeral 1. The logo features the letter "K" combined with a flower bud (representing a kitka, which translates to a small bouquet or blossom in Bulgarian). The red poppy motif was among the most widely produced decorative patterns in Eastern Bloc tableware, appearing on ceramics manufactured across Bulgaria, the GDR, and Czechoslovakia for both domestic use and socialist trade export. Bulgarian ceramics circulated widely through Cuba’s material culture as part of the close economic ties between the island and its Eastern European allies under COMECON.

A set of four small, shallow turned-wood coasters (drink/glass coasters), each a low circular dish with a flat well and a slightly raised rim. The wood is a pale-to-tan close-grained hardwood (birch or similar), finished with a clear sealing coat; surfaces show lathe-turning marks and, on several, water staining, darkening, and one piece heavily scorched/darkened across the well. The underside of at least one coaster is stamped with a circular maker's mark: a triangle device within "REG. TRADE MARK / SILVA / MADE IN SWEDEN." No decoration beyond the wood finish. The four are uniform in form and size, consistent with a manufactured matched set.

SUMMARY: An empty tin can of Soviet "Slava" brand "tourist pork luncheon meat," 340 g net weight, with trilingual English/Spanish/French labeling marking it as an export product. Manufactured in the USSR for the Soviet "tourist" food category and exported to socialist allies including Cuba. DESCRIPTION: A cylindrical tin can of small luncheon-meat / sardine-can proportions (typical for the 300–340 g format of Soviet tushonka and luncheon-meat products). The body is printed with label in a yellow-and-blue color scheme: Upper portion (yellow ground): A wide horizontal band carries the brand name "Slava" in red script (the Latin transliteration of Russian Слава, meaning "Glory"). Below the brand-name band, a large circular medallion fills most of the front face: yellow ground with a red border, showing a stylized "tourist" travel scene — at left, a tall palm tree; at right, a mountain); at center, the canned meat itself. A small radiant sun or burst element appears above the structure. Around the medallion's rim, faded text reads "EXPORT" and continues with product-description elements ("Tourist pork luncheon meat" and the net-weight specification). Lower portion (blue ground): A second wide horizontal band in blue, with cream/yellow rule lines bordering it top and bottom. The blue panel carries text in horizontal stripes, including the multi-line trilingual net-weight statement at lower right: "NET WEIGHT / PESO NETO / POIDS NET / 340 g" — English, Spanish, French. A blank cream/yellow side panel on the right edge runs vertically, carrying additional regulatory text. The brand name "Slava" appears again as a repeated script wordmark across the top of the label. The ivory/cream lid snaps over the rim and carries a flip-up pour-spout flap above the lip and a small molded thumb-tab; viewed from above (Image 2) the lid is a plain disc with the spout opening at one edge and a short central tab. A blank, recessed oval cartouche is molded into the upper body near the handle, with no inscription inside it.

A round frying pan with a spun/pressed aluminum body and a brown/bronze PTFE non-stick interior coating. The straight, slightly flared sidewall rises to a plain rim. A black molded-plastic (phenolic-type) handle with a rectangular hang-hole at its end is fixed to a cast-aluminum bracket, which is riveted to the pan body (rivet heads visible inside). The base is bare spun aluminum showing concentric turning marks. No maker’s mark, brand, or “Made in” stamp is visible on the interior or base.

Two molded translucent-plastic cocktail swizzle sticks of identical design, one green and one yellow/amber. Each has a slender flat shaft with a small knob at the lower end and, at the top, a figural finial in the form of a stylized pineapple — spiky crown toward the shaft, a diamond-cross-hatched oval body, with small round bosses above and below. The shaft carries the raised legend HAVANA CLUB RUM in block capitals.

Four identical round absorbent pulpboard coasters, cream-colored, printed in a single brown/gold ink. Design is a line-drawn personified stemmed cocktail glass (coupe/martini form) with a citrus wedge on the rim, a smiling face, arms and legs, appearing to dance or step over a drinking straw, flanked by atomic-style starbursts and motion lines. The cover is filled in by hand in pen: the year "1981," the núcleo (household) number, a registration code, and a list of household members with accompanying figures. Heavily aged.

The thin, flat profile is characteristic of a bottle made to stand or lie in a refrigerator door. The neck is smoother and glossier than the textured body.

Single opaque blue plastic drink stirrer. The round paddle is embossed with the restaurant's emblem — a heraldic crown above a shield bearing 1830 / RESTAURANT / BAR — within a ring border. The shaft is embossed lengthwise LA HABANA CUBA and ends in a small ball foot. Logo and lettering are integrally molded (embossed), not printed.

A small circular coaster of coiled and stitched plant fiber (rush/straw-type), worked as a flat spiral from a central coil outward to a braided, lightly scalloped rim. The fiber is now an aged grayish-brown, dry and weathered, with the individual coils and binding stitches clearly visible. Faint specks and traces of color survive on the surface; per donor information, the coaster originally carried painted lines that have now largely faded. No maker's mark, label, or lettering is present. The piece reads as a handmade woven craft.

Flattened-spherical (disc-form) drinking canteen molded in dark green plastic, the entire body cast with a trompe-l'oeil wicker basket-weave texture and a braided-look band around the foot, imitating a traditional wicker-covered flask. A short cylindrical neck rises from the shoulder with an external screw thread for a cap (now absent); the neck base carries a molded collar of vertical lines and raised dots simulating a beaded/woven cuff. Two lugs at the shoulders — black metal brackets fitted with pale plastic roller sleeves — carry a flat, pale rubber/elastic carry strap that loops from shoulder to shoulder. Body is hollow, single-piece molded.

Set of eight small square textiles of plain-weave white/cream linen (or linen-cotton), each hand-embroidered in one corner with a small stylized floral sprig and finished on all four sides with a decorative whip-stitched (overcast/twisted) edge. The embroidery and edging alternate between red and black thread across the set — individual pieces combine red and black edging, and the corner motif is worked in red on some pieces and black on others.

A set of six matching square napkins in ecru, woven as an even, corded weft-rep (ribbed) cotton. Each is decorated with openwork in a drawn-thread/filet manner: dashed openwork lines form a border and concentric diamond/zigzag frames, with a central stylized flower worked as an open filet-style grid. The reverse reads essentially the same as the face, indicating the openwork is structural (woven/machine-worked) rather than surface embroidery. Edges are finished with a narrow folded, stitched hem. The ground is regular and uniform across pieces. Light tan corner staining appears on some pieces. No maker's mark, label, or selvage lettering is visible in the images.

Three square dinner napkins woven in a self-patterned (tone-on-tone) damask construction. Two napkins (hereafter A and B) are off-white/ivory; a third (C) is a noticeably cooler silvery blue-gray tone, visible when all three are shown stacked together. All three share the same general woven structure and scale, suggesting they were acquired as a set or similar set. The napkins display an elaborate multi-zone border design: a wide outer band featuring stylized palm-and-floral sprays alternating with scrolling arabesques; a narrower intermediate band of repeating diamond-and-scroll chain; and a plain inner margin. In translation: "Starting today we begin seeing Leo off (what a problem!) and we think how sad a time you all are going to have over there. [¡Turkeys at 160 Kčs. — and A-4!] I have to be received at the [clinic]…" — an affectionate, joking farewell. ("A-4" is a spirit Leo's father distilled at home, probably used here generically for alcohol.)
